When you first picked up a skateboard, did you have any idea that one day you would make a career out of it?

Definitely not. I was caught up with so many other things when I was younger. It was impossible for me to stick with anything for a certain amount of time. But my uncles started getting me psyched on the hand-me-down videos like Public Domain, Ban This, Search for Animal Chin. Those were the shit and made me really want to skate as much as possible.

What do you think you'd be doing right now if you hadn't stuck with skating?

Damn, I'd probably be some loser behind an office desk. I'm not really sure. My friend's family runs shit down in Boston, so maybe I'd end up working for the union with them. I've worked with them before and it's crazy. They hire the gnarliest dudes straight out of prison. Its definitely intense.

Did you graduate high school?

Nope. I got my GED. At this point it's been 4 years and I forget what GED means. I'm not saying I had ADD or anything, but I don't think I'm cut out for waking up at 7:00am everyday and sitting still in a classroom. I'd much rather operate on my own schedule and be happy.

What was the most important thing you learned in school or on the play ground?

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose; but you can't pick your friend's nose.

How did you get on City?

City had an East Coast vibe that I was really down with. Also, I knew that the company was owned by Street Corner, which also does Venture; and I love Ventures. Then I saw Russ Milligan and Jeremy Reeves down in Florida when they were on tour. I got to skate with them and they were cool as hell. Reeves was killing it so hard that day. So I sent a tape to City and I guess it all worked out from there. Our team is so sick!

Manny Santiago told us you were a pretty good basketball player. Was Bachinsky really a baller?

Manny would say some shit like that. I did play for a couple of years, ya' know, got down, hustled mine, had some good times. Haha. Yeah right... Nowadays I don't think I could run up and down the court like that without passing out on the floor. But Manny, if you wanna take it to the blacktop, its on!

Ok. So you're on the verge of going pro. Are you nervous?

It can be a little overwhelming at times, especially with the deadline almost up. There's a lot of things that get nerve-racking when you're trying to film; getting kicked out of spots, never ending winters... it goes on for days. I'm just surprised it's all happening. Everyday I wake up I'm amazed to be doing what I'm doing for a living. It seems like a dream sometimes.

Did you have any idea that the City video What the F**k is a Bachinsky? was going to be named after you? What was your first thought?

I had no idea at all. I was hyped when I first heard, though I really didn't know what to say. I think me and the homies all started laughing.

Have people approached you and asked what the fuck a Bachinsky really is?

Actually yeah; and every time it catches me off guard. Its like I keep forgetting that its the title of the video. After I figure out what's going on, I tell them that a Bachinsky is a dude who doesn't give a fuck and skates his ass off.

Do you have specific tricks in mind that you really want to do? Or do you just try and get something sick at every spot?

I prefer going to a random spot and seeing what works out. That way is more fun and usually works out better for me. If I overthink a trick, I get overwhelmed and usually end up blowing it. However, sometimes I will try to get a specific trick, like for instance if I'm really feelin' nollie heels, I'll try to think of a good spot for the trick.

What was the craziest shit you saw in China?

5 people riding on one scooter. Are you fucking kidding me???

You surprised everyone with your tranny skills in the Hubba video Bachinsky Gone Wild. Have you always skated transition?

My uncles had a mini ramp when I was growing up. They were always trying to teach me basics. Unfortunately, they ended up moving out and the ramp got taken down. That sucked. But a couple of years later, Hadley Skatepark opened up (where the mini ramp vid was shot). I ended up realizing that skating the mini ramp was the best way to start the day off to get the legs going. I love skating minis.

Is there any specific trick you really want to learn on mini?

I've been trying nollie 180 heels to switch 5-0 fakie, so I'd be super juiced if I landed that one.

Is there gonna be more tranny footage in your video part?

For sure. I love to skate all that kind of stuff. Its good to have a little of everything.

Who's your favorite vert skater and why?

Danny Way. He is a man on a mission.... Do I really need to explain? He's numb to it. It blows my mind that someone can have that much control and be that confident on skateboard. Its fucking sick!

Your first Hubba wheels ad was shot on a pool table? Was that your basement? Tell us a little about the shoot.

That was a crazy day. It was actually my 21st birthday. When I woke up I I got a call from (Tony Vitello) surprising me, saying a girl would be coming to my house to shoot a hubba ad that night. I was so psyched. I ended up having all my friends over and we partied it up all night after the photo shoot. Good times indeed.

Why do you drive to New Hampshire for cigarettes?

Massachusetts is fucked. They try to get 55 Bucks for a carton of ciggys. WTF???? Why pay that when I can drive 10 minutes to New Hampshire and get a carton for $28. I used to drive up there for breakfast as well because you could smoke in restaurants; but they just recently banned it. So lame. These states deserve to sink... At least give me a smoking section. C'mon...

Tell us about your career as a computer programmer?

Shit, I didn't see this one coming... haha. Well, when I was around 10-13 years old I got psyched on making different little computer programs. If you know "Paint" from a windows computer, you'll know what I'm talking about. Basically, the best thing I ever made was an advanced version of the "Paint" program. I was mostly into web design & some flash multimedia. I wouldn't know where to start with it now, but it was good fun then.

If you were on Death Row and were going to be given your last meal before execution- what would you want to be your last supper?

Black pepper beef with some fried rice and a can of Coca Cola.... followed by one last Marlboro.

Ok. Last question. When is the video gonna drop?

Isn't it gonna be July 18th? But don't quote me on that. Shit, you guys know better than I would. You tell me.
